Beamax adds integrated IR and 12V trigger to M-compact electric screens

Beamax m-compact electric projection screen

Ir remotes and 12V triggers add an element of convenience to a projection screen.

With an IR remote, all you do is press the button and down comes the screen. And with a 12V trigger, it’s possibly even easier. You fire up the projector and the screen comes down immediately.

The problem is that first of all, you need to make a choice and then, you need to pay for the components as an accessory (most projection screens only have a switch in the box).

But that’s not all, then you need to wire it all up to get it working. That means either spending some time on DIY, or pay for a contractor to do the work for you.

Beamax therefor has upgraded the M-compact  electric projection screen to include a 12V trigger receiver as well as an IR remote control. The benefits of this are:

  1. You don’t have to pay extra for it. Both the 12V trigger receiver and the IR remote come with the screen
  2. There’s no need to do any wiring. It’s all prefitted, so all you have to do is plug the cable in to the mains socket and you’re good to go.

The switch is no longer included though…

You can get Beamax screens in the US from and in other countries from one of the resellers on the list here.
