Panasonic PT-AE4000 and JVC DLA-HD950 win Home Cinema Choice best buy awards 2010

The Panasonic PT-AE4000 took the prize for best projector under 5000 pounds.

What I like a lot about this projector is that it comes with two 12V triggers. This can create a real WOW effect. Not only could you use the projector to lower your projection screen – when started, but you can do more!

Here are some options:
– Lower the screen and lower the blackout blinds, so you have the perfect environment for home theater
– Lower the projector screen and the projector lift, allowing you to have your equipment out of sight when not in use
– Lower the screen and start a cooling system that keeps your equipment at the right temperature

Of course, you need a 12V signal receiver too. Here’s what the Beamax one looks like.

The JVC DLA-HD950 took home the prize for the best projector over 5000 pounds

It’s currently around 6,000 pounds, which is a lot of money. But you get cinema quality in your own home.
The prize was awarded for the price/performance ratio of this projector, because you get great value for your money.

Keep in mind though that such projectors are at their best in a dedicated room that can be darkened completely. These machines are (and can be) fine tuned to crank out the best possible pictures. That means you don’t want them competing with ambient light.

Not only are they not designed for that purpose, you won’t be getting the most from your projector either.

If you have either one of the projectors, congrats, looks like you have a fine machine. When you are still looking for one. Check them out and when possible, go to a local reseller and do a side-to-side comparison to come to your own conclusions baout the best machine for your room.
